Dee-O-Gee (established in 2008) is locally owned and operated by Josh and Holly Allen. At Dee-O-Gee, Holly brings her previous veterinary technician experience and multitudes of dog nutrition knowledge to work with her every day. You can expect our staff to give you and your favorite four-legged friend the best grooming, nutrition, dog daycare and fashion experience around.
Not only is Dee-O-Gee an “all-natural” dog & cat store full of recycled toys and holistic food, but the owner’s Papillon named Jericho is “recycled” as well. The owners, Josh and Holly, believe that rescue dogs make some of the best pets. Jericho is an owner-relinquished rescue dog and the “shop dog” at Dee-O-Gee, eager to greet anyone coming in the door.
We assist in the selection and acquisition of a site by providing guidance and evaluating information the franchisee has gathered on locations they are considering. Also provided are recommendations during the lease negotiation period to help maximize the opportunity for the franchisee to receive the proper build-out and landlord support, thus keeping the initial investment as low as possible.
Working with our design team is a critical stage in the development of any Dee-O-Gee. Our design team assists your local architect to optimize the store's floor plan for customer experience and ease of operation. Assistance includes: grooming room design, restrooms, day care design, storage room placement, retail flow, office, equipment layout, storage, television and audio equipment placement, internal & external signage, point-of-sale placement, lighting and much more.
After the initial design, we'll assist you with the bidding process to select a reputable and approved general contractor, and provide guidance in overseeing the construction phase to verify that the final project matches the initial design , including finish work, paint colors, equipment placement, etc.
Prior to the opening of your Dee-O-Gee, we provide an extensive training program (on-site at Dee-O-Gee HQ in Bozeman, MT). The program includes topics such as product knowledge and history, customer service fundamentals, employee motivation, advertising, accounting & record keeping, purchasing, inventory management, point-of-sale (POS) system operation, and staff duties.
In addition to the initial management training program , we send a certified trainer to your store to offer hands-on assistance during the opening of your Dee-O-Gee. This helps ensure that the business practices that make a successful Dee-O-Gee are implemented and are functioning at the highest levels. After the initial opening, a field representative will make periodic visits to help make sure that these core competencies remain in place.
We have developed strong relationships with product distributors, equipment suppliers, marketing & design firms, insurance providers, and additional vendors that are essential to opening and operating a Dee-O-Gee.
